Moira Schur Craw, is an accomplished flutist and teacher with over 35 years teaching experience specializing in flute and including all woodwind and brass instruments. She offers private music lessons to students ranging from young children to adults. Mrs. Craw is a popular teacher who creates a friendly rapport with students from Wilton and surrounding towns. Her lessons are based on The Schur Method, her comprehensive music instruction book, which is the result of her many years of experience.
While her university degree is in flute performance, Mrs. Craw taught band in public and private schools and is a favorite of middle and high school students. Enthusiastic and creative, Mrs. Craw
offers services specially tailored to them: “In addition to lessons, I can support your middle and high school band classes with music theory sessions, and I can help you prepare a great college entrance CD.” she said. “I also offer the opportunity for all students to learn from each other in small performance parties.”
Mrs. Craw is proud of her students’ success: “The students I teach privately are excelling in their school programs, many of them sitting first chair. Many play in local youth symphonies and regional music festivals, and several of my students have gone on to study music in college.”
